
1960s Early Vietnam 1st Pattern US Army Jungle Jacket Size S-Reg (Fits M)
The US Military needed a new jacket/coat for tropical conditions when the conflict in South-East Asia escalated in the early 1960's. This extremely rare version of the "Jungle Jacket" was the first attempt. With a windproof and quick drying 5,5oz cotton poplin, shoulder straps, side adjusters and exposed buttons, this jacket saw war-time in the early 1960's and were then replaced with the second and third pattern jackets which didn't have the exposed buttons.

Condition: Some normal to expect wear, from this very rare and sort after jacket. Some tiny holes and cuts on sleeves. One chest pocket has a repair (not visible) Labels are faded. Overall surprisingly good authentic condition.
